Le Silla Peep Toe Jewel Boot

I'm in love with these dazzling boots made be Le Silla and detailed in Swarovski Crystals.

Of course they cost an arm and a leg and maybe a kidney lol...
Full price, $3500 and now on sale for $1750.

If I was a celeb I would soo rock this...sigh

Le Silla is a high-end Italiano label that specializes in luxury shoes, accessories, bridal and lounge wear. Established  in 1994 by Enio Silla, Le Silla has been seen up and down the red carpet worn by elites such as Eva Longoria-Parker, Ciara, Paris Hilton, and Victoria Beckham.

The brand's current collections contain sophisticated yet charming shoes and accessories. Some are fully detailed in Swarovski crystals but Le Silla, also, has "everyday" wear items, easily starting at $500(depending on the shoe).

If I was rich I would buy them, not even to wear but to just have and look at. They're too pretty to wear and I'll be damned if a Swarovski crystal fell off and somebody tried to scoop it up!

Project Runway Episode 2.."The Fashion Farm"

Last week Thursday was the second episode of Project Runway Season 7. The designers' challenge was to create a party look out of a burlap potato sack. The premiere was disappointing but this episode made up for it. The designers really used their creative thinking tanks to pull this one off.  Most designs were on the money while others were completely off target but overall the episode was innovative.

Here are my fave looks and the winning design:

Anthony's design:

Amy's design

Emilio's design:

Jay Nicholas's design(the winning look): Not to crazy about it.

Mila's design: I love this dress but too much gaping in the breast area..

Who would've known a potato sack could be stylish...

Are you GaGa over this?

Another interesting get-up from Lady GaGa. Usually I can give her a  pass for being unique but this one is just all types of WRONG!!!! Something about it just screams 80's train wreck.

Fashion statement or fashion faux pas?

Barbie goes GaGa

Ever since Lady Gaga has appeared on the hollyweird scene the world has gone gaga.  It seems like people can't get enough of the pop star. In fact, one GaGa-obsessed artist created a collection Barbie Gagas mirroring past hairdos and outfits of the "Bad Romance" singer and boy was he accurate. Don't believe me? See for yourself.....

Beyonce don't even have a line of barbies lol

So fashionistas, what say you on this?

Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Today we celebrate the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., one of the world's greatest civil rights leaders.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. represented a myriad of efforts but his most important message promotes equality, hope, dignity, and freedom. He strived for people of all races, nationalities, and creeds to love, embrace, and help one another. So as most of us enjoy a day off from work, remember that it's not just about that. It's a day of service. A day to remember his contributions. Today, lend a helping hand to someone, whether it's to a relative/friend or to the relief efforts in Haiti, do something that will commemorate the man and his legacy.

Alleged Beauty Tips

So once again I was roaming the internet and stumbled across some peculiar beauty tips that "allegedly" work. Here are some that you might want to try:

1) Sparkling Eyelashes
If you put vaseline on the tips of you eyelashes you'll get a subtle sparkle, allegedly

2) Roll Away Frizz
To reduce frizz spray on some hair spray then roll the can over the strands. It's suppose to lock in spray and flattens out frizz, allegedly

3) Self Tan with Body Bronzer
For all you tanners if you don't have time for a tanning session mix a few drops of body bronzer with regular hand lotion and pat on legs to get a lil' tan, alledgedly

4) Shave your legs with conditioner
Out of shaving cream? Coat stems with thick hair conditioner. It softens hair so it's easier to shave and makes legs feel silky...this might work

I haven't tried any of these but I will try the shave with conditioner and maybe the petroluem jelly for your eyelashes.

I'll report back.

The Snuggie...Remixed

First there was the Snuggie the wearable blanket now there's the Snuggie Suit. Since the Snuggie has done extremely well the creators have produced a full body polyester jumpsuit made for extreme comfort and laziness. It's available at JCPenny for $24.99 in black, blue, red, and hot pink.

Why couldn't I have found this around Christmas?! I would've definitely bought one for myself. This is just another reason to stay home and do nothing....

I want one.

And supposedly there's the Hoodie Footie Snuggie. This will be a must have if true! Story developing....

Project Runway Season 7 Premiere

Last night Project Runway Season 7 premiered so you know I was glued to the TV. The first episode was "Back to New York City" with the 16 new designers and as usual the show opened by introducing them and their aesthetic.  Although every season brings a fresh batch of  designers there's always a designer or two who is more authentic than the rest; this season I believe it's Ping Wu. I liked her runway creation. It was unexpected and interesting. I was a bit skeptical when she was designing it but it was beautifully constructed and it looked nice on the model. Judge Nina Garcia, Marie Claire's Fashion Director, critique the garment as not having hanger appeal and I agree. Ping's design would look awful on a hanger but I want to see more from her.

Seth Henderson is another designer that has peaked my interest. His garment was youthful and girly punk rock chic.

The winning design by Emilio Sosa. Nothing extravagant but cute.

Although I didn't like his design, Anthony Williams, wins the Miss Congeniality award. He has a vibrant personality and seems like he'll get along with everyone.

The rest of the designs were ok or ugly and overall the premiere was disappointing. Hope next week is better.
